THIS IS WHERE IT ALL STARTED

In 2008 a small group of 4 eager church-planters started walking around the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, inviting people to join them for a Bible study in Starbucks at Streets of Woodfield.

They soon moved from hosting monthly meetings at Starbucks to hosting weekly Bible studies every Thursday.

Nine months later, they launched their first Sunday service on Easter Sunday 2009.

Having no venue to call home, they became known as the “Traveling Church”, meeting anywhere and everywhere, hotels, banquet halls, schools, bars and open air meetings in parks, if and when the weather permitted.

For 5 long years, the volunteer team at Christ Nation set up and took down all the equipment needed to run services twice a week...snow, rain or shine.

Today, Christ Nation is a thriving congregation, meeting in a facility on Plum Grove Rd. in Schaumburg, IL.
